Warming up the automatic engine box
1. Start the engine. Let it idle for 2-3 minutes to warm up the transmission fluid.
2. Move the gear shift lever to the Drive position. This will ensure transmission fluid circulates throughout the gearbox.
3. Start the car moving. Drive at low speed (about 20-30 km/h) for the first 5-10 minutes. This will allow the transmission fluid to distribute throughout all components of the transmission and warm up.
4. Increase your speed gradually. As the transmission warms up, you can increase the speed. Avoid sudden acceleration and gear changes.
5. Normal operating temperature. After warming up, the normal operating temperature of the transmission fluid should be between 80 and 100°C. It can be checked using a diagnostic scanner or transmission fluid temperature sensor.
Adviсe:
* Do not overload the vehicle while warming up.
* In cold weather, the transmission may take longer to warm up.
* Check the level and condition of the transmission fluid regularly.
*If there are signs of transmission problems (such as slipping, excessive noise or leaks), contact your mechanic.
