The frequency of oil changes in a Honda CR-V automatic transmission depends on the type of transmission and the year of manufacture of the vehicle.
Models produced before 2023 (5-speed automatic transmission)
* Every 30,000 km (or 24 months) under normal operating conditions.
* Every 15,000 km (or 12 months) under severe operating conditions (trailer towing, off-road driving, frequent short trips).
Models 2023 and newer (CVT automatic transmission)
*Honda’s maintenance schedule does not include CVT oil changes.
*CVT oil is designed to last the life of the transmission, but may need to be changed under certain circumstances (such as severe damage to the CVT).
