To perform automatic transmission self-diagnosis in a Honda Odyssey, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the shift lever is in the Park (P) position.

2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON (II) position.

3. Do not start the engine.

4. Press the brake pedal and hold it for at least 5 seconds.

5. Move the shift lever from Park (P) to Drive (D), then to Neutral (N) and back to Drive (D).

6. Release the brake pedal.

7. Wait 5-10 seconds.

8. Turn the ignition key to the OFF (0) position and remove it.

9. Reinsert the key into the ignition.

10. Turn the key to the ON (II) position, but do not start the engine.

11. Wait 5 seconds.
