Materials:
* New external automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission filter gasket
* Drain plug O-ring
* Drain pan
* 17 mm spanner
* Flat head screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Raise the car
Using a jack and stands, raise the vehicle safely.
2. Find the external automatic transmission filter
It is usually located under the hood, next to the gearbox.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector
Disconnect the electrical connector from the old filter.
4. Remove the hose from the filter
Carefully slide the hose off the filter.
5. Unscrew the filter bolts
Using a 17mm socket wrench, remove the bolts securing the filter to the transmission.
6. Remove the old filter
Gently pull the old filter down and remove it.
7. Replace the gasket and O-ring
Remove the old gasket from the transmission surface and install a new one. Replace the drain plug O-ring.
8. Install a new filter
Place the new filter in place and tighten the bolts.
9. Connect the hose and electrical connector
Install the hose and connect the electrical connector to the new filter.
10. Add automatic transmission fluid
Add the required amount of automatic transmission fluid through the dipstick hole.
11. Lower the car
Carefully lower the vehicle to the ground.
12. Check the automatic transmission fluid level
Check the automatic transmission fluid level on the dipstick to make sure it is in the correct range.
Adviсe:
* Before removing the filter, start the engine and switch it to all transmission modes so that the automatic transmission fluid heats up and becomes thinner.
* Use a drain pan to catch spilled automatic transmission fluid.
*Do not over-tighten the filter bolts as this may damage the threads.
* Dispose of old automatic transmission fluid in accordance with local environmental regulations.
