Required tools and materials:

* Wrench set
* Ratchet heads
* Pry bar or large flathead screwdriver
* Knife for removing the CV boot
* Grease for CV joints
* New inner CV joint

Instructions:

1. Ensure safety: Apply the parking brake, install wheel chocks, and jack up the vehicle. Remove the wheel on the side where the CV joint needs to be replaced.

2. Remove the drive shaft: Unscrew the nut securing the drive shaft to the wheel hub. Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Pull the drive shaft to remove it from the hub.

3. Remove the inner CV joint: Using an installation tool or screwdriver, carefully remove the CV boot. Remove the bolts securing the inner CV joint to the differential. Remove the CV joint from the differential.

4. Clean and lubricate the new CV joints: Clean the inside surface of the differential of any old grease. Apply CV joint grease to the new inner CV joint, including the splines and boot.

5. Install a new inner CV joint: Insert the new CV joint into the differential and tighten the mounting bolts. Install a new boot and secure it with clamps.

6. Install the drive shaft in reverse order: Insert the drive shaft into the differential and tighten the retaining nut. Connect the ball joint and install the wheel.

7. Check the transmission fluid level: Add transmission fluid if necessary.

8. Lower the vehicle to the ground and tighten the drive shaft nut to the specified torque.

9. Check operation: Start the vehicle and drive a short distance to check for any unusual noise or vibration.
