Materials:

* New automatic transmission cover bearing
* Screwdrivers or wrenches for removing the automatic transmission cover
* Parts cleaner
* Bearing grease
* Gear or other bearing removal tool

Tools:

* A set of tools for automatic transmission repair (preferably)
* Jack and jack supports
* Wrenches or socket wrenches
* Brush for cleaning parts
* Small hammer

Instructions:

1. Prepare the car:

* Place the car on a level surface and secure it.
* Raise the vehicle using a jack and place it on the jack stands.
* Determine the location of the automatic transmission cover.

2. Remove the automatic transmission cover:

*Following the procedure described in the repair manual for your Honda model, remove the bolts securing the cover.
* Carefully remove the cover and inspect the gasket.

3. Remove the old bearing:

* Insert a gear or other suitable tool into the bearing hole and knock the bearing out of the cap.
* Be careful not to damage the cover.

4. Clean surfaces:

* Clean the cover and new bearing with parts cleaner.
* Remove any dirt, debris or old grease from both surfaces.

5. Apply lubricant:

* Apply a thin layer of bearing grease to the inside of the new bearing.

6. Install the new bearing:

* Insert the new bearing into the hole in the cover.
* Gently tap the bearing into place using a hammer.
* Make sure the bearing is installed correctly and flush with the cover.

7. Install the automatic transmission cover:

* Reinstall the cover on the automatic transmission and tighten the bolts.
*Use a torque wrench or refer to your repair manual for the correct tightening torque.

8. Check for leaks:

* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Check under the automatic transmission cover for leaks. If leaks are found, tighten the bolts or replace the gasket.

9. Remove the car:

* Remove the vehicle from the jack stands.
* Check the fluid level in the automatic transmission and add if necessary.
