How to change gears on a Lada Granta with an automatic transmission (automatic transmission)
Gear selector
The gear selector is located on the center console. It has the following provisions:
* P (Parking) — Locks the transmission when the car is parked.
* R (Reverse) — For reversing.
* N (Neutral) — The transmission is in neutral.
* D (Drive) — Basic driving mode, automatic gear shifting.
* M (Manual Mode) — Allows you to manually change gears.
Shifting gears
1. Press the brake pedal.
2. Move the gear selector to the desired position.
3. Release the brake pedal.
Manual mode
In manual mode, you can manually change gears using the gear selector. By moving the selector up (+), you shift to a lower gear, and down (-), you shift to a higher gear.
Adviсe
*Always turn on park mode (P) when the vehicle is parked.
* Move the gear selector only with the brake pedal depressed.
* Avoid sudden gear changes.
* Do not downshift when driving at high speed, as this may damage the transmission.
* If the transmission is stuck in any position, turn off the engine and wait a few minutes. Then try moving the selector again.
