Materials:

* LEDs (5-10 mm) – 6-8 pcs.
* Resistors (330-470 Ohm) – 6-8 pcs.
* Wires
* Heat shrink tube
* Glue (optional)

Tools:

* Phillips screwdriver
* Wire cutters
* Soldering iron

Instructions:

1. Remove the automatic transmission lever:

– Unscrew the screws holding the automatic transmission lever cover.
– Remove the cover together with the casing and lever.

2. Prepare the LEDs:

– Cut the required length of wires and solder them to the LED cathodes (shorter leg).
– Solder resistors to the anodes of the LEDs (longer leg).

3. Install the LEDs on the lever:

– Make small holes in the automatic transmission lever for the LEDs.
– Insert the LEDs into the holes and secure them with glue or heat shrink tubing.

4. Connect the wiring:

– Connect the wires from the LEDs to each other in series.
– Connect one end of the circuit to the positive terminal of the power source (eg DC power wire).
– Connect the other end of the circuit to ground (for example, a metal part of the car).

5. Install the housing and lever:

– Reinstall the casing and automatic transmission lever in their original place.
– Tighten the screws to secure them.

6. Check the backlight:

– Turn on the headlights or side lights to activate the automatic transmission lever illumination.

Adviсe:

*Use LEDs of the same color for consistent lighting.
*Experiment with different angles and placement of LEDs to achieve optimal light distribution.
*For added protection, insulate all connections with heat shrink tubing.
