Gear selector automatic transmission Ford Focus III

Selector position:

* P (Park): The parking brake is applied. Transmits torque to the wheels.
* R (Reverse): Gear for reversing.
* N (Neutral): The gearbox is not engaged.
* D (Drive): Main gear for forward movement.
* S (Sport): For a sportier ride with higher revs.
* + / – (manual mode): Allows you to manually change gears, like a manual transmission.

Unlock button:

* Used to switch the selector lever from P position.

Selector lock:

* The selector lever can be locked in position P without starting the engine.
* To unlock the selector lever, you must press the brake pedal.

Selector position indicator:

* An indicator on the instrument panel shows the current position of the selector lever.

Peculiarities:

* To shift the selector lever from position P, you must press the brake pedal.
* To switch the selector to manual mode, you must first move it to position D or S.
* The selector can be moved to position N while the vehicle is moving.
