Required tools and materials:
* Set of wrenches or ratchets
*Oil filter holder
* Oil seal remover
* New automatic transmission oil seal
* New gear oil (about 4 liters)
* Container for collecting old oil
* Gloves
* Rags
Steps:
1. Preparation
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the vehicle to cool down if it has been driven recently.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Drain transmission oil
* Place a container under the transmission.
* Loosen the transmission drain plug using a wrench.
* Drain the oil into a container.
3. Removing the old oil seal
* Disconnect the sensor plugs from the transmission housing.
* Using a wrench or ratchet, remove the bolts securing the oil pan.
* Carefully remove the oil pan and remove the old oil seal using an oil seal puller.
4. Installing a new oil seal
*Lubricate the new oil seal generously with transmission oil.
* Carefully press the new oil seal into place into the transmission housing.
* Tighten the oil pan mounting bolts with a torque wrench to the specified torque.
5. Installing the oil pan
* Install the gasket on the oil pan and seal it with sealant.
* Reinstall the oil pan and tighten the bolts.
6. Filling with transmission oil
* Fill the transmission with new oil through the filler hole.
* The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.
7. Reset fault codes
*Connect a diagnostic scan tool to the vehicle and reset all transmission related trouble codes.
8. Assembly
* Remove the oil filter using the oil filter holder.
* Install a new oil filter.
* Connect the battery.
9. Testing
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Shift gears in the transmission to check its operation.
* Check the oil level on the dipstick and add if necessary.
* Check under the car for oil leaks.
