The following types of transmissions were installed in the Ford Focus 3:

Automatic torque converter transmission (ATG)

*PowerShift with dual clutch and 6 gears (only with 2.0L diesel engine)
* SelectShift with conventional torque converter and 6 gears (2.0L petrol engine only)

CVT (CVT)

* Powershift with two clutches and continuously variable transmission (with 1.6 l and 2.0 l petrol engines)

Which type to choose:

The choice between an automatic transmission and a CVT depends on your individual preferences and driving requirements.

Automatic:

* Advantages:
* More traditional and familiar powertrain
*Shifts gears smoothly in most cases
*Potentially higher reliability than CVT
* Flaws:
*May have delay when shifting gears
*May be less economical than CVT

CVT:

* Advantages:
* Very smooth shifting without jerking
*Potentially higher fuel efficiency
* Lower noise and vibration levels
* Flaws:
*Can create a rubber band feeling, especially under hard acceleration
* Potentially higher repair costs

If you prefer a traditional transmission and value reliability, then an automatic transmission may be the best choice. If you are looking for maximum smoothness and efficiency, then a CVT may be a more suitable option.
