Replacing an automatic transmission engine mount on a Ford Focus 2

Tools and materials:

* Jack
* Car stands
* Wrenches
* Ratchet with extension
* Socket heads
* New automatic transmission engine bracket
* Carburetor cleaner
* Torque wrench

Instructions:

1. Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.

2. Place a jack under the front of the vehicle on the automatic transmission side and raise it high enough to support the vehicle.

3. Remove the engine splash guard, if equipped.

4. Loosen the nuts securing the engine mount bracket to the engine.

5. Use a ratchet and extension to remove the bolts holding the bracket to the subframe.

6. If necessary, clean the surface of the subframe from rust or dirt using carburetor cleaner.

7. Install the new automatic transmission engine mount bracket on the subframe and tighten the bolts.

8. Connect the bracket to the engine and tighten the nuts.

9. Tighten all bolts and nuts with a torque wrench to manufacturer specifications (usually 60-80 Nm).

10. Install the engine splash guard (if equipped).

11. Lower the vehicle from the stands and check the operation of the engine mount.

Adviсe:

* Replacement of the engine mount may be necessary if there are engine vibrations, noise or rough operation of the automatic transmission.
* It is recommended to replace the automatic transmission engine mount along with other engine mounts to ensure optimal performance.
