Powershift transmission
The PowerShift transmission has been installed on Fiesta models since 2010. It’s a six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.
Advantages:
* Fast and smooth gear shifting
* Improved fuel economy compared to traditional automatic transmissions
* Possibility of manual gear shifting
Flaws:
*May be less responsive than traditional automatic transmissions
* More expensive to maintain
Operating modes:
The PowerShift gearbox has the following operating modes:
* D (Drive): Normal mode for automatic gear shifting.
* S (Sport): Sport shift mode for enhanced performance.
* L (Low): Low gear mode for off-road driving or towing.
* M (Manual): Manual gear shift mode.
Fault codes
The PowerShift transmission may display the following fault codes:
* P0900: Shift control circuit malfunction
* P0919: Gear switch malfunction
* P0928: Shift control unit malfunction
Service
The PowerShift transmission requires regular maintenance, including:
* Replacing transmission fluid
* Replacing the transmission fluid filter
* Inspection and adjustment of clutch
