Instructions for changing automatic transmission oil:
1. Preparation:
* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Draining old oil:
* Find the automatic transmission pan drain plug.
* Place a bucket or tray under the drain plug.
* Unscrew the drain plug using a wrench or screwdriver, being careful not to spill oil.
* Let the old oil drain into a container.
3. Replacing the oil filter:
* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan with a wrench or a screwdriver.
* Remove the automatic transmission pan.
*Remove the old oil filter.
* Install a new oil filter.
4. Cleaning the tray:
* Clean the automatic transmission pan from metal shavings and other contaminants.
* Install a new automatic transmission pan gasket.
5. Filling with new oil:
* Using a funnel, pour new automatic transmission oil into the transmission.
* Fill in the amount of oil specified in the vehicle’s operating manual.
6. Assembly:
* Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten the fastening bolts.
* Screw on the drain plug with a new O-ring.
* Check the automatic transmission oil level with a dipstick or using diagnostic equipment.
7. Reset adaptations:
* Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes.
* Shift the gear selector through all positions and return it to park mode.
* Stop the engine.
*Wait a few minutes and start the engine again.
8. Checking the oil level:
* Check the automatic transmission oil level again using a dipstick or diagnostic equipment.
* If necessary, add oil to the required level.
After changing the automatic transmission oil, it is recommended to replace the air and fuel filters, as well as the spark plugs to ensure optimal engine performance.
