Skills:
* Ability to identify, diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electrical systems
* Knowledge of automotive electrical circuits and how they work
* Ability to use multimeters, voltmeters and other diagnostic tools
* Knowledge of safety rules when working with electricity
* Ability to read and understand technical documentation
* Ability to troubleshoot starters, alternators, battery packs, wiring and lighting
* Ability to install and repair automotive audio and navigation systems
* Knowledge of engine management systems and electronic vehicle control systems (ECM)
Experience:
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a car mechanic and electrician
* Experience working with various makes and models of vehicles
* Knowledge of specialized tools and equipment for repairing electrical systems
* Experience with diagnostic scanners and software
Education and certificates:
* Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering
* Certificates confirming training in working with ECM
* CPR and First Aid Certificate
