Job responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance and repair of all types of cars and trucks
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems, engines, transmissions, brakes and chassis
* Checking and replacing batteries, starters, generators and other electrical components
* Repair and replacement of various mechanical components such as suspension, steering and brakes
* Conducting routine technical inspections to identify and eliminate potential problems
* Participate in the diagnosis and repair of complex technical problems in collaboration with other mechanics
* Compliance with occupational safety and health regulations
* Maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace
* Perform customer service related tasks such as providing advice and updates on repair progress
Qualifications and skills:
* At least 3 years of experience as an electrician in car repairs
* Diploma or certificate of completion from a vocational school or college in Automotive Mechanics
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles of operation and repair of electrical systems of automobiles
*Excellent mechanical skills including welding, cutting and soldering
* Knowledge of common automotive diagnostic tools and equipment
* Excellent knowledge of vehicle system electronic circuits
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
*High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a team
* Safety oriented and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations
Additional wishes:
*Certifications or licenses to work on specific types of vehicles or systems
* Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles
* Knowledge of modern technologies for diagnosing and repairing cars
