§ 1. Car repair electrician
1st category
Characteristics of the work. Performing simple electrical installation and electrical repair work on cars: repairing electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, sound signals, switches, sockets, relays, fuses, switching and junction boxes. Checking wire connections by soldering or welding. Installation and dismantling of electrical equipment.
Must know: the structure and operating rules of electrical equipment of automobiles; rules for electrical installation and electrical repair work; types and purpose of electrical materials; basics of electrical engineering; safety regulations.
2nd category
Characteristics of the work. Elimination of simple malfunctions in electrical equipment of cars: instrumentation, sensors, generators, starters, electric motors, etc. Electrical installation and adjustment of additional electrical equipment (car radios, lighting devices, walkie-talkies, etc.). Measuring and adjusting electrical parameters in vehicle electrical systems.
Must know: electrical circuit diagrams of electrical equipment of the brands of cars being repaired; operating principle of instrumentation and adjustment mechanisms; methods for identifying and eliminating faults in vehicle electrical circuits; basics of electrical engineering; safety regulations.
3rd category
Characteristics of the work. Troubleshooting moderately complex faults in electrical equipment of cars: fuel injection systems, ABS, electric power steering, air conditioning, etc. Repair and adjustment of complex electronic components and devices. Installation and adjustment of complex electrical wiring and electronic equipment elements. Search for short circuits and wire breaks in vehicle electrical wiring.
Must know: the structure and electrical circuits of modern brands of electronically controlled cars; principles of operation and functional purpose of components of electronic systems of a car; methods for identifying and troubleshooting electronic equipment; basics of electronics; safety regulations.
4th category
Characteristics of the work. Elimination of complex and critical malfunctions and failures in the operation of electrical equipment systems of modern brands of cars, trucks and specialized vehicles with electronic control. Repair and maintenance of controllers, sensors, drives, control units, communication buses, etc. Electrical installation and adjustment of components and elements of vehicle electrical equipment in new and modernized designs. Manufacturing and repair of wiring harnesses.
Must know: the operating principle and design of electronic vehicle control systems; control algorithms for electronic units; methods and techniques for diagnosing, troubleshooting and troubleshooting complex electrical systems and electronically controlled devices; fundamentals of microprocessor and microcontroller technology; safety regulations.
5th category
Characteristics of the work. Diagnostics of the technical condition, adjustment and adjustment of complex electronic and electro-hydraulic systems of modern cars. Electrical installation and commissioning of new and modernized specialized vehicle electrical equipment systems. Manufacturing and repair of electronic harnesses and cables. Participation in the development and testing of new designs of electrical equipment and electronic systems for automobiles.
Must know: features of diagnostics and repair of electronic control units for the engine, gearbox, anti-lock brake system, etc.; methods of programming and setting up control units; safety regulations.
6th category
Characteristics of the work. Management and direct participation in particularly important work on the repair and adjustment of electrical systems of the car. Conducting technical examinations and developing recommendations for troubleshooting problems in complex electronic systems. Participation in the development and implementation of new technologies, bench and road tests, certification and maintenance of vehicles. Training and advanced training of personnel.
Must know: the basics of development, testing, certification and servicing of electrical equipment of automobiles; legislative and regulatory acts on the maintenance, repair and operation of vehicles; safety regulations.
