Tools and materials:

* Multimeter
* Insulated pliers
* Phillips screwdriver
* Flat head screwdriver
* Sandpaper or wire brush
* Electrical tape
* Heat shrink tubing (if necessary)
* Spare parts (if necessary)

Safety:

* Before starting work, disconnect the washing machine from the power supply and turn off the water supply.
* Use only insulated tools.
*If you are unsure of your skills, consult a professional electrician.

Diagnosis of the problem:

1. Check the socket and plug with a multimeter. They must be in good working order.
2. Check the power cord for kinks, damage, or burns. Replace it if necessary.
3. Check the power cord for continuity using a multimeter. It must be continuous.
4. Check the thermal fuse. If it is burnt out, it needs to be replaced.

2. Replacing Thermal Fuse: Locate the thermal fuse on the heating element or motor. Disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse and replace it with a new one of the same rating.
3. Cleaning the Contacts: Use sandpaper or a wire brush to clean the contacts on the terminal block and connectors.
4. Wiring Inspection and Repair: Check all wires for damage, corrosion or loose connections. Tighten or replace as necessary.
5. Install Heat Shrink Tubing: If any wires have been replaced or repaired, install heat shrink tubing for insulation and protection.

Assembly and testing:

1. Reassemble the washing machine in reverse order.
2. Connect the washing machine to the outlet and turn on the water.
3. Run a test cycle to ensure the repair was successful.
