Required tools and materials:
* Set of socket wrenches or screwdrivers
* New drain plug and gasket
* Basin or bucket for collecting oil
* Rags or paper towels
* Gloves (optional)
Instructions:
1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
2. Set the vehicle to the parking brake.
3. Place a basin or bucket under the oil pan.
4. Clean the drain area with rags or paper towels.
5. Use a suitable socket wrench or screwdriver to loosen the drain plug. Do not remove the plug completely.
6. Allow the oil to drain into the prepared basin or bucket.
7. When the oil stops flowing, remove the drain plug completely.
8. Remove the old gasket from the drain plug.
9. Place a new gasket on the drain plug.
10. Lubricate the threads of the drain plug with a small amount of engine oil.
11. Hand tighten the drain plug into the oil pan.
12. Use a socket wrench or screwdriver to finally tighten the drain plug. Don’t over-tighten.
13. Remove the basin or bucket.
14. Check the oil level in the gearbox. Add oil if necessary.
