* Work in a well-ventilated area.
*Transmission fluid may be hot, so wear gloves.
* Remove the negative terminal of the battery.
* Raise the vehicle to a safe height.

Step-by-step disassembly instructions:

1. Draining transmission fluid:

* Locate the drain plug in the automatic transmission pan.
* Place a tray under the drain plug.
* Loosen the drain plug and drain the liquid into the pan.

2. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Remove the bolts holding the automatic transmission pan.
* Carefully remove the pan, being careful not to damage the gasket.

3. Replacing the automatic transmission filter:

* Find the automatic transmission filter in the pan.
*Remove the old filter and replace it with a new one.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts.

4. Removing the torque converter:

* Remove the bolts holding the torque converter.
* Carefully remove the torque converter from the transmission shaft.

5. Removing the automatic transmission front cover:

* Disconnect the bolts holding the front automatic transmission cover.
* Carefully remove the cover and be careful not to damage the gasket.

6. Removing the planetary mechanism:

* Remove the retaining rings from the planetary gear.
* Remove the planetary gear.

7. Removing pistons and clutches:

* Remove the pistons and clutches.

8. Automatic transmission assembly:
