Required tools and materials:

* Set of wrenches
* Phillips screwdriver
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Plastic sledgehammer
* Hammer
*Long hairpin
* Rags
* Automatic transmission fluid

Precautions:

* Before starting work, make sure that the engine is turned off and the vehicle is set to the parking brake.
* Protect your eyes and hands when working with the torque converter.
*Use only the following procedures at your own risk.

Disassembly procedure:

1. Remove the torque converter from the engine

* Remove the bolts securing the torque converter to the engine.
* Carefully remove the torque converter from the engine, being careful not to damage it.

2. Disconnect the oil pipe

* Disconnect the oil pipe from the torque converter.
* Close the holes in the torque converter and oil pipe with plugs.

3. Remove the standing ring

* Locate the retaining ring around the outer edge of the torque converter.
*Using a plastic sledgehammer, gently hit the stoma ring to remove it.

4. Unclench the hubs

*Insert a long pin into the holes on the inner and outer hubs.
* Make sure the pin is inserted straight.
*Use a hammer to gently tap the stud to separate the hubs from each other.

5. Remove the lock-up clutch

* Remove the lock-up clutch from the inner hub.
* Be careful not to damage the piston in the lock-up clutch.

6. Remove the turbine

* Remove the turbine from the inner hub shaft.
* Be careful not to damage the turbine.

7. Remove the pump

* Remove the pump from the outer hub.
* Make sure the pump is not damaged.
* Collect all parts and store them in proper order for reassembly.

Reassembly Tips:

* Clean all parts before reassembly.
* Lubricate all moving parts with automatic transmission fluid.
* Make sure the stand ring is installed correctly.
* Tighten the torque converter mounting bolts to the required torque.
* Check the tightness of the oil pipe.
