Required tools:
* Wrench set
* Head set
* 10 mm socket wrench
* Phillips screwdriver
* Flat head screwdriver
* Bearing puller
* Torque wrench
Instructions:
1. Preparing the car:
* Set the car to the parking brake.
* Chock the rear wheels.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Removing the gearbox housing:
* Disconnect the transmission electrical connector.
* Disconnect the shift cables.
*Remove the oil filter cover.
* Unscrew the torque converter mounting bolts.
* Supporting the gearbox from below, unscrew the gearbox housing bolts.
* Carefully remove the transmission housing along with the torque converter.
3. Disassembling the gearbox:
3.1. Removing the bell:
* Unscrew the bell mounting bolts.
* Remove the bell housing along with the input shaft.
3.2. Removing the planetary gear:
* Unscrew the planetary gear mounting bolts.
* Remove the planetary gear assembly with bearings.
3.3. Removing friction discs and steel plates:
* Remove the steel plates and friction discs from the clutch pack.
* Set them aside in proper order for later assembly.
3.4. Removing the reverse gear drum:
* Remove the stand ring from the reverse gear drum.
* Remove the reverse gear drum from the input shaft.
3.5. Removing the pump:
* Unscrew the pump mounting bolts.
* Remove the pump together with the pump housing.
3.6. Disassembling the oil filter:
* Unscrew the oil filter mounting bolts.
* Remove the oil filter and remove the filter cartridge.
4. Gearbox assembly:
* Clean all parts and apply new ATF to the friction surfaces.
* Reassemble the gearbox in reverse order of disassembly.
* Make sure all bolts are tightened to proper torque.
5. Installation of the gearbox housing:
* Reinstall the gearbox housing.
* Install and tighten the transmission housing bolts.
* Install the torque converter.
* Screw in the torque converter mounting bolts.
6. Connection and filling with liquid:
* Connect the transmission electrical connector.
* Connect the shift cables.
* Fill the transmission with the specified type of ATF.
* Check the ATF fluid level and add it if necessary.
7. Final check:
* Start the engine and check the operation of the gearbox in all modes.
* Check for ATF leaks.
* Adjust shift cables if necessary.
