Detroit Electric
Detroit Electric is an American manufacturer of electric vehicles headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. The company was founded in 1907 and closed in 1939. The company was revived in 2008 and has since produced a range of electric vehicles.
Story
The original Detroit Electric was founded by Henry Ford, William C. Mayo and Alexander Malcomson. The company produced a number of electric vehicles, including the Detroit Electric Model 1 (1908–1911) and Detroit Electric Model 2 (1911–1914). These cars were considered luxurious and were often used by wealthy buyers.
In 1939, Detroit Electric folded due to competition from gasoline cars. The company was revived in 2008 by a group of investors led by Al Berman. The revived Detroit Electric focused on producing electric vehicles using modern technology.

Detroit Electric currently produces two electric vehicles:
