How to use an automatic transmission Daewoo Matiz
1. Parking position (P)
* The vehicle must be stationary and have the handbrake applied.
* Move the selector lever to position «P».
* Remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Reverse position (R)
* Press the selector lock button on the selector lever.
* Move the lever to the «R» position.
* Reverse carefully.
3. Neutral position (N)
* The vehicle must be stationary.
* Move the selector lever to the «N» position.
* The car will not move even if the engine is running.
4. Drive position (D)
* Move the selector lever to position «D».
* Release the brake pedal.
* The car will move forward and change gears automatically as it gains speed.
5. Manual mode position (M)
* Press the mode switch button on the selector lever.
* Move the lever up to upshift and down to downshift.
Adviсe:
*Always set the parking brake when the vehicle is parked.
* Do not change gears while driving.
* If the vehicle is stuck in snow or mud, move the selector lever to position «D» and depress the gas pedal to rev the vehicle.
* If the car overheats, move the selector lever to the «N» position and turn on the heater at full power to cool the engine.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid level regularly and change it according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
