CV joint (constant velocity joint) internal right for Renault Megane 2 with automatic transmission

Signs of a CV joint malfunction:

* Crunching and clicking noises when turning
* Vibration during acceleration and braking
*Lubricant leakage from boot

Consequences of untimely replacement:

* CV joint failure
*Damage to drive shaft
* Increased fuel consumption
* Reduced vehicle controllability

Recommended replacement interval:

* 100,000 – 150,000 km

Replacement procedure:

1. Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Raise the front of the car with a jack and install supports.
3. Remove the wheel.
4. Unscrew the central nut of the drive shaft.
5. Using a puller, press the drive shaft out of the hub.
6. Remove the boot and remove the CV joint.
7. Clean the mounting surfaces.
8. Apply lubricant to the new CV joint and install it in the seat.
9. Install a new boot.
10. Press the drive shaft into the hub.
11. Tighten the central nut.
12. Install the wheel.

Additional recommendations:

* It is also recommended to replace the boot clamps.
* When replacing the CV joint, make sure there is no damage to the drive shaft.
