Correct use of automatic transmission

Before starting the engine:

* Make sure the gear shift lever is in the Park (P) position.

Starting the engine:

* Press and hold the brake pedal. This provides the necessary locking of the gear lever.
* Start the engine.

Gear shift:

* Shifting while driving: Release the accelerator pedal, press the shift lever release button (if equipped) and move the shift lever to the desired position.
* Shift into Park (P): Stop the vehicle completely, press and hold the brake pedal, and move the gearshift lever to Park.

Coasting:

* The automatic transmission automatically switches to neutral when you release the accelerator pedal, which allows the car to coast and save fuel.

Engine braking:

* When you release the accelerator pedal, the automatic transmission automatically shifts to lower gears, providing engine braking and helping to slow the vehicle.

Parking mode:

*Always use the Park (P) position when parking. Do not use neutral (N) gear.

Indicators and error messages:

* Pay attention to the indicators on the instrument panel, which may indicate problems with the automatic transmission. If you see any indicator or error message, seek professional help.

Maintenance:

* Perform regular automatic transmission maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. This includes changing the oil, filters and gaskets.

Care Tips:

* Avoid sudden acceleration and braking.
* Do not change gears while driving.
*Do not tow heavy trailers without proper equipment.
* Check the transmission fluid level regularly.
