Preparing to drive:
* Familiarize yourself with the location of the transmission controls (shift knob, shift lever).
* Find out the designation of transmission modes: P (park), R (reverse), N (neutral), D (drive), S (sport mode), etc.
Starting the engine:
* Make sure the gear shift knob is in P (Park).
*Press the brake pedal.
* Insert the ignition key and start the engine.
Gear shift:
* To shift gears from P (Park) to D (Drive), lightly press the brake pedal and slide the gear shift knob to D.
* To change gears from R (reverse) to D (drive), stop the vehicle completely and engage neutral (N).
*To change gears while driving, simply slide the shift knob to the appropriate mode (eg D for upshift or L for downshift).
Using cruise control:
*Activate cruise control by pressing the button on the steering wheel.
*Set your desired speed by pressing the speed adjustment buttons.
*To turn off cruise control, press the brake pedal or press the off button on the steering wheel.
Using manual mode:
* Put the transmission into manual mode by moving the gear shift knob to the side (+) or (-) position.
*Use the steering wheel buttons or paddle shifters to shift up (+) or down (-).
Using Parking Mode:
* Stop the vehicle completely.
* Press the brake pedal and move the gear shift knob to P (park).
* Remove the ignition key.
Tips for proper driving:
* Do not change gears while the vehicle is in N (neutral) mode.
* Do not overheat the transmission by avoiding standing still for a long time in D (driving) mode.
* Change transmission fluid according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
* Avoid sudden acceleration and braking, which can damage the transmission.
* Pay attention to signals from the instrument panel indicating problems with the transmission.
