Materials:

* Trailer cable
* Trailer connector
* Electric trailer kit
* Multimeter or voltage tester
* Wire strippers
* Crimping pliers or soldering iron
* Electrical tape or heat shrink tubing

Steps:

1. Determination of trailer pinout:

*Locate the pinout chart included with your breakout cable or electrical kit.
*This chart indicates which wire is connected to which color for each trailer lighting feature.

2. Connecting wires to the trailer:

* Strip the ends of the wires on the trailer about 1 cm.
*Connect the color-coded wires on the trailer to the corresponding terminals on the trailer connector.
* Secure connections using crimp terminals or soldering.
* Insulate connections with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.

3. Preparing the electrical set:

*Find an electric trailer kit that is compatible with your vehicle.
* It must match the connector type and number of lights on your trailer.

4. Connecting wires to the electrical set:

* Strip the ends of the wires on the electrical set about 1 cm.
*Connect the color-coded wires on the electrical kit to the corresponding terminals on the trailer connector.
* Secure connections using crimp terminals or soldering.
* Insulate connections with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.

5. Connection to car power supply:

* Find a car wiring diagram to determine where to connect the electrical kit wires.
* Commonly used wires for reverse, lights and brake lights.
* Connect the wires of the electrical kit to the corresponding wires of the car.
* Insulate connections with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.

6. Checking connections:

*Use a multimeter or voltage tester to check the connections are correct.
* Make sure that the correct voltage is supplied to the trailer when each lighting function is activated.

7. Trailer connector and cable installation:

* Install the trailer connector on the rear of the vehicle.
* Connect the trailer cable to the trailer connector.
* Secure the wiring so that it does not dangle.

Adviсe:

* Use cables and connectors with the correct marking system to prevent incorrect connections.
* To avoid short circuits, properly insulate all connections.
* Periodically check and service the trailer’s electrical system if necessary.
*If you experience difficulty, please contact a qualified mechanic for assistance.
