Required materials:

* New Toyota WS gear oil (approx. 2.5 l)
* New automatic transmission filter
* New automatic transmission pan gasket
* Brush with metal bristles
* Funnel and hose for filling liquid
* Keys and sockets 12/17/19 mm
* Rags or clean gloves

Instructions:

1. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Place the car on a level surface.
* Put the car in parking mode.
* Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
* Go under the car and find the automatic transmission.
* Clean the automatic transmission pan bolts with a brush.
* Carefully unscrew the bolts and remove the pan, draining the old oil into a prepared container.

2. Replacing the automatic transmission filter:

* Inside the pan, find and remove the old automatic transmission filter.
* Reinstall the new filter.

3. Installing a new gasket:

* Clean the surface of the pan from the old gasket and traces of oil.
* Install a new gasket on the pan, aligning it with the bolt holes.

4. Installing the automatic transmission pan:

* Lift the automatic transmission pan and align it with the body.
* Insert the bolts and tighten them to the specified torque (approximately 14 Nm).

5. Filling with new oil:

* Locate the filler plug on the automatic transmission (usually on the top or side).
* Insert a funnel into the plug and fill in new Toyota WS gear oil.
* Fill approximately 2.5 liters until oil begins to flow out of the inspection hole.

6. Checking the oil level:

* Start the vehicle engine and warm it up to operating temperature (approximately 50 °C).
* Shift the gear selector through all positions and return it to park mode.
* Remove the inspection plug (usually on the side or rear of the automatic transmission) and check the oil level.
* Oil should flow slightly from the inspection hole.
* If necessary, add oil until it starts to flow out.

7. Installing the control plug and tightening the bolts:

* Screw in the inspection plug and tighten it.
*Check the oil level again by starting the engine and shifting gears.
* If the oil level is normal, install the negative terminal of the battery and close the hood.

8. Resetting the automatic transmission oil change counter:

* Some Toyota Corolla models may require resetting the automatic transmission oil change counter. To do this, follow these steps:
* Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position (do not start the engine).
*Press and hold the odometer button for 5 seconds.
*Press the odometer reset button until the message “Service Reset Complete” appears.
* Turn off the ignition.

Adviсe:

* Use only original Toyota WS gear oil for optimal automatic transmission performance.
* Regularly check the automatic transmission oil level and top it up if necessary.
* A complete automatic transmission oil change is recommended every 60,000 – 80,000 km or as indicated in the vehicle’s operating manual.
