Description: The oil seal is used to seal the joint between the left drive of the automatic transmission and the gearbox housing, preventing transmission fluid from leaking.
Applicability:
* Chevrolet Orlando 2011-2014 with automatic transmission
Specifications:
*Inner diameter: 27mm
*Outer diameter: 42mm
*Thickness: 7mm
Installation:
To replace the oil seal you must:
1. Raise the car on a lift.
2. Remove the left wheel.
3. Unscrew the nut securing the automatic transmission drive to the hub and pull the drive out of the hub.
4. Remove the automatic transmission drive boot and pull it out of the automatic transmission housing.
5. Using a flat-head screwdriver or a special puller, remove the old oil seal from the automatic transmission housing.
6. Clean the seat from dirt and old sealant.
7. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the seat.
8. Install the new oil seal into the automatic transmission housing until it stops.
9. Reinstall the boot and automatic transmission drive.
10. Tighten the nut securing the automatic transmission drive to the hub.
11. Install the removed wheel.
12. Lower the car from the lift.
Note:
*Only use the original oil seal or a high quality equivalent.
* Check the transmission fluid level after replacing the oil seal.
* Leaking transmission fluid can cause serious damage to the automatic transmission.
