How to engage reverse gear on a Chevrolet Lacetti with automatic transmission:
1. Make sure the car is at rest. Place the gear shift lever in neutral and press the brake pedal.
2. Press the shift lock button. The button is usually located on the side of the gear shift knob.
3. Move the gear lever to the “R” (reverse) position.
Note:
* For some Chevrolet Lacetti models, you may also need to press the gear shift button after you have moved the lever to the “R” position.
* If the shift lever does not move to the “R” position, you may not have pressed the lock button all the way. Try pressing the button again and moving the lever.
