Location of the dipstick for checking the transmission fluid level in the Chevrolet Lacetti automatic transmission
1. Make sure that the car is parked on a level surface and the engine is warmed up to operating temperature.
2. Open the hood.
3. Locate the transmission oil dipstick. It will be located on the side of the transmission.
4. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth or paper towel.
5. Insert the dipstick back into the transmission until it stops.
6. Pull the dipstick out again and inspect the fluid level.
Normal fluid level
The fluid level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.
Adding fluid
If the fluid level is below the minimum mark, you will need to add fluid to the transmission. Use only fluid recommended by the manufacturer.
1. Open the fluid fill plug, which is usually located on the top or side of the transmission.
2. Insert a funnel into the hole and carefully pour in the liquid.
3. Check the fluid level periodically by inserting the dipstick until it reaches the desired level.
4. Screw in the fluid fill plug.
