Chevrolet Cruze automatic transmission selector
The automatic transmission selector in the Chevrolet Cruze has the following gear shift order:
* P (Parking): Applies the parking brake to prevent the vehicle from moving.
* R (Reverse): Controls the vehicle in reverse.
* N (Neutral): Disconnects the engine from the transmission, allowing the vehicle to roll freely.
* D (Drive): The main mode for driving the vehicle forward.
* L (Low): Used to provide additional traction at low speeds, such as when driving on steep slopes or towing.
Additional features:
* Tiptronic (manual mode): Allows the driver to change gears manually by sequentially moving the selector up (+) for upshifts and down (-) for downshifts.
* Overdrive (O/D): When enabled, the vehicle shifts into higher gears to improve fuel economy, but reduces acceleration.
* Hold Mode Button: Holds the vehicle in the current gear, preventing upshifts.
Using the automatic transmission selector:
* To change gears, press the lock button on the selector handle.
* Move the selector to the desired position.
