Required tools and materials:
* Wrench set
* Pliers
* Phillips and slotted screwdrivers
* Crowbar or pry bar
* New automatic transmission oil seal
* Sealant or sealant
* Transmission fluid
Procedure:
1. Safety first:
* Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Transmission fluid drainage:
* Locate the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan.
* Place a drain pan under the plug.
* Unscrew the drain plug and drain the transmission fluid.
3. Removing the automatic transmission pan:
*Locate the bolts around the perimeter of the pan.
* Unscrew the bolts and remove the pan.
* Be careful, there may be residual liquid inside the pan.
4. Removing the old oil seal:
* Locate the oil seal that needs to be replaced.
* Pry off the seal from the edge with a flat-head screwdriver or crowbar.
* Remove the old oil seal.
5. Preparing a new oil seal:
* Apply a thin layer of sealant or sealant to the outer edge of the new oil seal.
6. Installing a new oil seal:
* Install a new oil seal in the corresponding hole in the automatic transmission housing.
* Make sure the oil seal is completely seated in the hole.
7. Installing the automatic transmission pan:
* Put the automatic transmission pan in place.
* Install and tighten the bolts.
8. Filling transmission fluid:
* Fill in transmission fluid through the automatic transmission filler hole.
* Fill with fluid until it begins to flow out of the inspection hole.
* Reinstall the inspection plug.
9. Battery connection:
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
10. Checking the fluid level:
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Shift the gear lever to all positions and return to the park position.
* With the engine off, check the fluid level on the automatic transmission dipstick.
*Add fluid as needed until the correct level is reached.
11. Test drive:
* Take the car for a test drive.
* Pay attention to any signs of leakage or abnormal operation of the automatic transmission.
