Required tools and materials:
* Wrenches (from 10 to 19 mm)
* Screwdrivers (phillips and flathead)
* Pliers
* Parts cleaner
* New automatic transmission drive oil seal
* Syringe for applying lubricant
*Torque key
Replacement instructions:
1. Preparing the car
* Set the car to the parking brake.
* Jack up the front of the car on the side where the oil seal needs to be replaced.
* Remove the front wheel.
2. Dismantling the automatic transmission drive
* Unscrew the wheel hub nut.
* Remove the caliper and hang it on a wire without disconnecting the brake hose.
* Unscrew the brake disc mounting bolts and remove the disc.
* Disconnect the steering linkage from the steering linkage.
* Remove the CV joint boot.
* Unscrew the nut securing the automatic transmission drive to the wheel hub.
* Remove the automatic transmission drive from the gearbox.
3. Replacing the oil seal
* Clean the oil seal housing on the gearbox thoroughly.
* Lubricate the seating surface of the new oil seal with transmission oil.
* Carefully install the new oil seal into the socket.
* Press the oil seal into the socket using a mandrel of suitable diameter.
4. Installation of automatic transmission drive
* Install the automatic transmission drive into the gearbox, aligning the splines.
* Tighten the drive nut to the wheel hub.
* Apply lubricant to the drive inner spline shaft.
* Install the CV joint boot.
* Connect the steering linkage to the steering linkage.
* Install the brake disc, tighten its mounting bolts.
* Install the caliper and tighten the wheel hub nut.
5. Shutdown
* Reinstall the wheel and tighten the nuts.
* Lower the car.
*Add transmission oil to the gearbox to the required level.
* Check the seal connection for leaks.
