Tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission fluid (in the amount specified in the operating manual for filter replacement)
* Drain pan
* Socket wrench 10 and 15 mm
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Rags or paper towels

Replacement procedure:

1. Raise the car. Place the car on a level surface and raise it using a jack and stands.
2. Drain the automatic transmission fluid. Locate the drain plug on the transmission pan (usually at the rear of the pan). Place the drain pan and unscrew the drain plug to drain the liquid.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan. Carefully remove the pan from the transmission and drain the remaining fluid.
4. Remove the old filter. Remove the screws or bolts holding the old filter to the valve block. Carefully remove the filter and remove the gasket.
5. Install a new filter. Clean the valve block of any remnants of the old filter or gasket. Place the new filter gasket in place and screw the filter to the valve block.
6. Clean the automatic transmission pan and install a new gasket. Thoroughly clean the automatic transmission pan of any remnants of the old filter and gasket. Install a new gasket on the pan.
7. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan. Connect the pan to the transmission and tighten the bolts.
8. Fill with new automatic transmission fluid. Using a funnel, fill the automatic transmission with the recommended amount of new fluid.
9. Check the fluid level. Start the engine and shift through all gears. Stop the engine and wait a few minutes for the fluid to drain into the pan. Check the fluid level using the transmission dipstick and add if necessary.
10. Reset the automatic transmission oil change counter. If your vehicle is equipped with an electronic automatic transmission oil change counter, reset it after replacing the filter. Refer to your instruction manual for specific instructions.

Adviсe:

* It is recommended to replace the filter and automatic transmission fluid together to ensure optimal transmission performance.
* Use only automatic transmission fluid recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
* When tightening bolts and plugs, do not overtighten them.
* The surface on which you are working must be clean to prevent dirt from entering the automatic transmission.
