Gear selector
* P (parking mode): Lock the vehicle in place.
* N (neutral): Transmission disengaged, engine running.
* D (Drive): Normal driving mode.
* D3: Limits gear shifting to 3rd.
* D2: Limits gear shifting to 2nd.
*L (Low): Used for steep grades or towing.
How to use automatic transmission Chevrolet Aveo
1. Starting the engine: Start the engine using the ignition key. Make sure the gear selector is in position P or N.
2. Shifting gears: To change gears, press the release button on the selector handle and move the selector to the desired position.
3. Acceleration: Press the gas pedal to gain speed. The automatic transmission automatically changes gears when accelerating.
4. Braking: Press the brake pedal to slow down or stop. The automatic transmission will automatically switch to a lower gear for engine braking.
5. Parking: Park the car and move the gear selector to position P.
Additional features
* Gear shift emulation mode: In D mode, you can simulate shifting gears manually by moving the gear selector from the right to the left side.
* Gear Hold Mode: In D3 or D2 mode, hold the selected gear without upshifting by pressing the button marked “HOLD” on the gear selector.
*Sport mode: Available on some Aveo models and provides sportier gearshift characteristics.
Tips for using automatic transmission
* Avoid sudden acceleration and braking as this will reduce the life of the transmission.
* Maintain the automatic transmission regularly, following the manufacturer’s recommendations.
*Do not tow trailers that exceed the manufacturer’s specified weight limit.
*When towing, use L mode to protect the transmission.
