Materials and tools:

* Cork gasket for automatic transmission pan
* New gear oil (DEXRON VI oil is recommended)
* Vessel for draining used oil
* Funnel
* Ratchet wrench
* Set of sockets or wrenches
* gloves

Instructions:

1. Prepare the car:

*Work on a level surface.
* Engage the parking brake.
* Allow the engine and transmission to cool.

2. Remove the automatic transmission pan:

* Locate the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan to the housing.
* Loosen the bolts, but do not remove them completely.
* Place a container to drain the oil under the pan.
* Remove the bolts and allow the oil to drain.

3. Replace the cork gasket:

* Remove the old cork gasket from the automatic transmission pan.
* Clean the surfaces of the pan and the automatic transmission housing from the remnants of the old gasket.
* Install a new cork gasket.

4. Install the automatic transmission pan:

* Lift the pan and align it with the automatic transmission housing.
* Hand tighten the bolts to secure the tray.
* Tighten the bolts evenly using a ratchet wrench and socket.

5. Fill with new oil:

* Find the automatic transmission dipstick and remove it.
* Insert a funnel into the dipstick hole.
* Fill the automatic transmission with new transmission oil (see the operating manual for the amount of oil).

6. Check the oil level:

* Reinstall the automatic transmission dipstick.
* Pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
* Insert the dipstick back and pull it out again.
* The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks.

7. Resetting the automatic transmission oil change counter (optional):

* Turn on the ignition without starting the engine.
* Press and hold the brake pedal for 30 seconds.
* Turn off the ignition.

Adviсe:

* Use original gear oil recommended by the manufacturer.
* Check the oil level in the automatic transmission regularly.
* If possible, change the automatic transmission oil filter along with the oil.
*If you are unsure, consult a qualified mechanic.
