Required materials:
* New automatic transmission oil (Dexron III or IV) – 6-8 liters
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Magnetic drain bolt
* 19 mm hex key
* Ratchet wrench
* Funnel
* Container for draining old oil
Instructions:
1. Preparation:
* Warm up the engine and gearbox to operating temperature.
* Place the car on a flat surface.
2. Draining old oil:
* Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal to reset the ECU memory.
* Clean the area around the automatic transmission pan.
* Using a 19 mm hex wrench, unscrew the automatic transmission pan drain bolt.
* Drain the old oil into a prepared container.
*Wait until all the oil has drained.
3. Replacing the oil filter and gasket:
* Using a ratchet wrench, unscrew the automatic transmission pan bolts.
* Remove the pan.
* Replace the oil filter and pan gasket.
4. Pallet installation:
* Install the new pan and tighten the bolts by hand.
* Using a ratchet wrench, tighten the bolts to 12-14 Nm.
5. Filling with new oil:
* Place a funnel in the dipstick hole.
* Pour new oil into the transmission until it begins to flow out of the drain hole.
* Screw in the drain bolt and tighten it with a force of 40-48 Nm.
* Add about 1 more liter of oil and check the level on the dipstick.
6. Checking the oil level:
* Start the engine and shift the gear lever to all positions, holding each position for a few seconds.
*Place the gear shift lever in Park mode (P).
* Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean and reinsert it.
* Check the oil level – it should be between the “Hot” and “Cold” marks on the dipstick.
* If necessary, add oil until the level is reached.
7. ECU memory reset:
* After changing the oil, reset the ECU memory by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for a few minutes.
* Reconnect the terminal and start the engine.
* Let the engine idle for about 10 minutes to distribute the new oil throughout the system.
8. Oil level control:
* Check the oil level again after a few days or after 100 km.
* If necessary, add oil to the required level.
