Materials:
* New SP-III gear oil (approx. 4 liters)
* New transmission pan gasket
* New transmission oil filter
* New transmission pan drain plug bolt
Tools:
* 10mm, 12mm, 14mm and 17mm spanners
* Funnel
* Clean container for draining old oil
* Gloves
Replacement procedure:
1. Preparation
* Raise the car on jacks and place it on stands.
* Stop the engine and allow the oil to cool.
2. Drain the old oil
* Place a container under the transmission pan.
*Using a 17mm wrench, carefully remove the transmission pan drain plug.
* Drain the old oil into a container.
3. Replacing the transmission filter
*Using a 12mm wrench, remove the bolts securing the transmission pan.
* Carefully remove the transmission pan while draining any remaining old oil.
* Locate and remove the old transmission oil filter.
* Install a new transmission oil filter.
* Clean the surface of the pan and remove the old gasket.
* Install a new gasket on the transmission pan.
4. Installing the transmission pan
* Reinstall the transmission pan and tighten the mounting bolts using a 12mm wrench.
5. Filling with new oil
*Using a funnel, pour approximately 4 quarts of new SP-III gear oil into the transmission.
6. Checking the oil level
* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Move the transmission selector to each position and back.
* Stop the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain back into the sump.
* Check the oil level using the transmission dipstick. The oil level should be between the “Min.” marks. and «Max.» at operating temperature.
7. Installing the drain plug
* Install a new drain plug and tighten it using a 17mm wrench.
8. Reset service counter
* Connect the OBDII scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
*Open the diagnostic software and find the transmission service menu.
* Reset the transmission service counter.
9. Computer adaptation of transmission
* Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Move the transmission selector to each position and back. This will allow the transmission to adapt to the new oil.
10. Final check
* Inspect the transmission pan and drain plug for leaks.
* Check the oil level after a few days of use to ensure it is normal and has no leaks.
