Changing the oil in the automatic transmission of Toyota Land Cruiser 200 petrol

Required tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission oil (about 10 l)
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* Automatic transmission pan with new gasket
* Drain plug O-ring
* 6 mm hex key
* Pliers
* Screwdriver
* Funnel
* Clean rag

Step by step instructions:

1. Preparation

* Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
* Let the engine idle for several minutes to warm up the automatic transmission oil.
* Stop the engine.

2. Drain the old oil

* Place a pan under the automatic transmission drain hole.
* Loosen the drain plug with a 6mm hex wrench and drain the oil into the pan.
*Wait until all the oil has drained (about 5 liters).

3. Removing and cleaning the pan

* Unscrew the automatic transmission pan bolts with a screwdriver.
*Remove the pan and clean it of old oil and deposits using a clean rag.

4. Replacing the oil filter

* Remove the old oil filter from the pan.
* Insert the new oil filter into the pan and tighten it by hand.

5. Installation of the pallet

* Apply a new gasket to the automatic transmission pan.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts with a screwdriver.

6. Installing the drain plug

* Install a new O-ring on the drain plug.
* Screw in the drain plug and tighten it with a 6mm hex key.

7. Filling with new oil

* Using a funnel, fill the automatic transmission with new oil.
* Fill in oil until it begins to flow out of the inspection hole.

8. Tightening the control plug

*Insert a 6mm hex key into the inspection hole.
* Tighten the inspection plug by hand until it begins to leak.
* Immediately tighten the inspection plug with a 6mm hex key 1/4 turn.

9. Checking the oil level

* Start the engine and let it idle.
* Switch the automatic transmission selector to all positions and back.
* Remove the automatic transmission dipstick and check the oil level.
* If necessary, add oil using a funnel.

Additional tips:

* It is recommended to change the automatic transmission oil every 60,000-80,000 km or earlier, depending on operating conditions.
* Use automatic transmission oil recommended by the manufacturer.
* The procedure should be carried out in a well-ventilated area, as automatic transmission oil is toxic.
* If you are not confident in your abilities, have your automatic transmission oil changed by a qualified mechanic.
