Materials:
* Automatic transmission oil Hyundai/Kia SP-III (4-5 l)
* Automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission pan bolts
* New drain plug (if necessary)
Tools:
* Set of keys or screwdrivers
* Funnel
* Rags
* Waste oil container
Replacement procedure:
1. Raise the vehicle and secure it. Use jacks or a lift.
2. Determine the location of the automatic transmission pan. It is usually located under the car in the middle.
3. Unscrew the drain plug. Place a waste oil container under the hole. Wait until the oil has completely drained.
4. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts holding the pan and carefully remove it.
5. Replace the automatic transmission filter. Remove the old filter and install the new one.
6. Clean the tray and magnets. Remove any remaining metal and deposits from the tray and the magnets on it.
7. Install a new pan gasket. Remove the old gasket and install a new one on the pan.
8. Install the automatic transmission pan. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the mating surface of the pallet and install it in place. Tighten the bolts to the required torque (see service manual).
9. Install a new drain plug. If the drain plug has been licked or damaged, replace it with a new one.
10. Fill in new automatic transmission oil. Using a funnel, pour the specified amount of new oil into the automatic transmission.
11. Check the oil level. Start the engine and wait until it warms up to operating temperature. Measure the oil level with a dipstick located in the engine compartment. The level should be between the «min» and «max» marks.
12. Reset automatic transmission adaptations. After changing the oil, it is recommended to reset the automatic transmission adaptations using a scanner or by disconnecting the battery terminal for 30 minutes.

* Use only recommended oil for Hyundai/Kia SP-III automatic transmission.
*Tighten the pan bolts to the required torque.
* Check the oil level regularly, especially after long trips.
* Consider changing your automatic transmission oil every 60,000 km or as recommended by the manufacturer.
