Materials:

* New Dexron 4 gear oil (approx. 4.5 l)
* New automatic transmission oil pan gasket
* Automatic transmission filter
* Sealant for automatic transmission
* Pliers
* Set of keys
* Funnel
* Bucket for draining used oil

Instructions:

1. Prepare the vehicle: Place the vehicle on a lift or ramps. Stop the engine and let it cool.

2. Find the automatic transmission oil pan: It is located under the car, closer to the front. It has a flat surface and many bolts around the perimeter.

3. Drain the used oil: Place a bucket under the drain plug located at the bottom of the oil pan. Carefully unscrew the drain plug with pliers. Allow the used oil to drain completely.

4. Remove the oil pan: Once the used oil has drained, remove the bolts from around the oil pan and carefully remove the oil pan.

5. Replace the automatic transmission filter: The filter is located inside the oil pan. Remove the old filter and install the new one.

6. Clean the oil pan and apply sealant to the new gasket: Clean the oil pan and apply a thin strip of automatic transmission sealant around the perimeter.

7. Reinstall the oil pan: Insert the oil pan into place and tighten the bolts in the sequence specified in the owner’s manual.

8. Add New Oil: Using a funnel, pour approximately 3.5 quarts of new transmission oil through the dipstick hole.

9. Check the oil level: Start the engine and warm it up. Check the oil level using the dipstick. Add oil if necessary.

10. Resetting the automatic transmission oil change counter (if applicable): If your vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission oil change counter, it must be reset after changing the oil. Consult the user manual for the specific zeroing procedure.

Adviсe:

*Use manufacturer recommended Dexron 4 gear oil.
* Tighten bolts to the specified torque.
* Make sure the oil pan gasket is installed correctly to prevent leaks.
*Check the oil level after a few days to make sure it is optimal.
