Tools and materials:

* New automatic transmission oil that meets Hyundai requirements
* New automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Drain plug key
* Socket wrench
* Oil syringe
* Funnel
* Rags
* Spanner

Instructions:

1. Prepare the vehicle: Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.

2. Warm up the engine: Start the engine and allow it to warm up to operating temperature.

3. Drain the old oil: Find the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan. Place a container with a volume of about 4 liters under the hole. Using a drain plug wrench, unscrew the plug and allow the oil to drain.

4. Remove the transmission pan: After most of the oil has drained, use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the transmission pan to the transmission housing. Carefully remove the tray.

5. Replace the automatic transmission filter: Remove the old automatic transmission filter from the pan. Lubricate the O-ring of the new filter with clean oil and install it in place.

6. Clean the transmission pan and housing: Remove any remaining gasket sealant and metal particles from the transmission pan and housing.

7. Install a new gasket: Apply a thin layer of gasket sealant to the new transmission pan gasket. Install the gasket onto the pan.

8. Install the transmission pan: Lift the pan and align it with the transmission housing. Tighten the mounting bolts in the sequence recommended by the manufacturer.

9. Replace the drain plug: Screw in the new drain plug and tighten it using the drain plug wrench.

10. Fill with new oil: Using a funnel, pour the recommended amount of new oil into the automatic transmission. Typically the volume is about 4-6 liters.

11. Check the oil level: Measure the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. It should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks.

12. Reset the oil aging counter: Start the engine and shift the gear selector to all positions for a few seconds in each position. Turn off and restart the engine. Repeat this process three times to reset the oil aging counter.

13. Drive the car: After changing the oil, drive the car for about 10-15 km and check the oil level again. Add oil if necessary.
