Job description of a car electrician

1. General provisions

1.1. This job description defines the job duties, rights and responsibilities of an automobile electrician.
1.2. A car electrician is appointed and dismissed from the position by order of the director of the enterprise upon the recommendation of the head of the motor transport workshop.
1.3. The automobile electrician reports directly to the head of the automotive transport department.
1.4. A person with a secondary vocational education in the specialty “Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles” or “Electrical equipment of vehicles” and work experience in the specialty of at least 1 year is appointed to the position of automobile electrician.
1.5. A car electrician should know:
* design and principle of operation of electrical equipment of automobiles;
* rules for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles;
* rules and regulations of labor protection and fire safety.
1.6. In his activities, a car electrician is guided by:
* current legislation of the Russian Federation;
* statutory documents of the enterprise;
* orders and instructions of the director of the enterprise;
* orders of the head of the motor transport department;
* this job description.

2. Job responsibilities

A car electrician performs the following job responsibilities:

2.1. Provides maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.2. Identifies and eliminates faults in vehicle electrical equipment.
2.3. Replaces worn out and failed parts of electrical equipment of cars.
2.4. Carry out diagnostics of electrical equipment of cars using special equipment.
2.5. Keeps records of work performed on maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of vehicles.
2.6. Informs the head of the vehicle transport department about the performance of maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of vehicles.
2.7. Participates in the development and implementation of new methods of maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.8. Complies with the rules and regulations of labor protection and fire safety when performing maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.

3. Rights

A car electrician has the right:

3.1. Access the information necessary to perform your job duties.
3.2. Require management to provide the necessary working conditions to perform their job duties.
3.3. Seek advice from management on issues related to the performance of your job duties.
3.4. Take part in meetings where issues related to his activities are discussed.

4. Responsibility

A car electrician is responsible for:

4.1. Failure to perform or improper performance of one’s official duties.
4.2. Violation of labor protection and fire safety rules and regulations.
4.3. Causing material damage to an enterprise.
4.4. Providing knowingly false information when applying for a job.
4.5. For failure to perform or improper performance of their duties provided for in this job description, in accordance with the current labor legislation of the Russian Federation.
