Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems including lighting, starters, alternators, charging systems and electronic systems
* Installation and configuration of electrical equipment and devices
* Replacement of wiring, fuses and other electrical components
* Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to prevent malfunctions
* Battery maintenance and repair, including testing, charging and replacement
* Troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic equipment
* Complies with all safety regulations and industry standards
* Maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace
* Communicating with clients and providing technical advice
Requirements:
*Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Automotive Maintenance
* Knowledge of principles of automotive electrical systems
* Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
* Skills in working with diagnostic equipment and tools
*Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
*Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
* Experience in the automotive industry is preferred
*Certifications for specific systems and vehicle brands are desirable.
