UAZ Hunter with an automatic transmission is not produced or sold from the manufacturer. However, you can customize your Hunter yourself by installing an automatic transmission from another car model. To do this you will need the following components:
Mechanical part:
* Automatic transmission (AT) from another car
* Adapter plate for connecting the automatic transmission to the Hunter engine
* Cardan shaft corresponding to the length of the automatic transmission
* Rear axle with appropriate gear ratio
Electrical part:
* Electronic automatic transmission control unit
* Wiring and sensors for connecting automatic transmission
* Automatic transmission control panel
Others:
* Automatic transmission oil
* Automatic transmission filter
* Gaskets and seals
Refinement process:
*Remove and dismantle the existing manual transmission.
* Install the adapter plate onto the engine.
* Install the automatic transmission on the adapter plate.
* Connect the automatic transmission to the driveshaft.
* Install the rear axle with a suitable gear ratio.
* Connect the automatic transmission electronic systems to the vehicle’s electrical wiring.
* Install the automatic transmission control panel.
* Fill the automatic transmission with oil and install a new filter.
Please note that upgrading Hunter to an automatic transmission will require significant technical skill and expense. It is recommended to contact qualified mechanics or specialized tuning studios.
