Automatic transmission cable for Volkswagen Golf III

Function:

The automatic transmission loop transmits electrical signals between the transmission electronic control unit (ECU) and the solenoids that control gear shifting.

Location:

*Under the hood, next to the gearbox
*Can be connected to the wiring harness or connected directly to the connector on the transmission

Symptoms of malfunction:

* Incorrect gear shifting
* Gear slippage
*No reverse gear

Causes of malfunction:

*Damaged or frayed wiring
* Loose or corroded connections
