Required tools and materials:
* Transmission oil recommended by the manufacturer (about 6 liters)
* New transmission filter
* Filter O-ring
* Drain plug with gasket
* Lift or jacks
* Funnel
* Square key 10 mm
* Hex key 17mm
* Gloves
* Clean rags
Replacement procedure:
1. Preparation:
* Place the car on a lift or jacks.
* Make sure the engine and transmission are cool.
* Wear gloves and safety glasses.
2. Draining old oil:
* Locate the drain plug on the transmission pan.
* Place an oil pan under the drain plug.
* Carefully unscrew the drain plug using a 17mm hex key.
* Drain the oil until it stops leaking.
3. Filter replacement:
* Locate the filter housing (usually located on the transmission side).
* Unscrew the bolts using a 10mm square wrench.
* Remove the filter housing and remove the old filter.
* Install a new filter with a new O-ring.
4. Filling with new oil:
* Locate the filler plug on the transmission.
* Clean the area around the fill plug with a clean rag.
* Insert a funnel into the filler hole.
* Fill the gearbox with the recommended amount of oil.
5. Checking the oil level:
* Start the engine and let it run for 2-3 minutes.
* Shift the gear selector to all positions and return to parking mode.
* Remove the transmission dipstick and check the oil level.
*Add oil if necessary.
6. Assembly:
* Reinstall the filter housing and tighten the bolts.
* Replace the drain plug with a new gasket and tighten it.
* Remove the jacks and remove the vehicle from the lift.
7. Resetting the oil change indicator:
* Turn off the engine.
*Insert the key into the ignition, but do not start the engine.
*Press and hold the trip odometer reset button until «OIL» is displayed.
* Remove the key from the ignition.
Recommendations:
* Change the gearbox oil every 60,000 — 80,000 km or as recommended by the manufacturer.
*Use only oil recommended by the manufacturer to prolong transmission life.
*Check the gearbox oil level regularly to avoid damage.
