The torque converter (GTT) is attached to the flywheel using the following elements:

1. Flywheel bolts:

* The GTT is screwed to the flywheel with several high-strength bolts.
*Bolts must be the correct size, length and torque as specified in the manufacturer’s specifications.

2. Guide plate:

* The guide plate is attached to the flywheel and provides additional support for the GTT.
* It guides and centers the gas turbine engine on the flywheel.

3. Alignment pins:

*Alignment pins are inserted into holes on the flywheel and GT to ensure proper alignment.
* They prevent misalignment and damage during installation.

4. Oil pump drive gear:

* An oil pump drive gear can be installed on the gas turbine engine.
* It meshes with the counter gear on the flywheel to drive the transmission oil pump.

Installation procedure:

1. Clean the surface of the flywheel and GT.
2. Install the guide plate on the flywheel.
3. Install the alignment pins.
4. Bring the GTT to the flywheel and align it with the pins.
5. Torque the flywheel bolts evenly to specifications.
6. Install the oil pump drive gear (if equipped).

Note:

* Attaching the turbocharger to the flywheel requires precision and attention to detail.
* All components must be clean and undamaged.
* Failure to follow correct procedures can result in leaks, vibration and transmission failure.
